Hypnobirthing

Hypnobirthing

WildbirthCo : Your home for holistic Hypnobirthing birthing

“Hypnobirthing teaches us to work with our bodies, which are naturally designed to give birth, releasing fear and negativity and replacing them with empowerment and confidence.”

I came to Hypnobirthing in 2023 whilst pregnant with my son Bodhi. I was extremely passionate about birth prior to falling pregnant with my baby boy, and once pregnant I truly immersed myself in the birthing world and knew from early on that I would end up training as a Hypnobirthing teacher.

I have been trained in person by Katharine Graves, the founder of Hypnobirthing in the UK and graduated with a Diploma in Hypnobirthing, the teaching course is fully accredited by the Royal College of Midwifery. I look forward to bringing the power of hypnobirthing to the new mums-to-be in Leigh-on-Sea.

What you’ll get from the course

  • Hypnobirthing techniques aim to reduce the fear and anxiety surrounding childbirth. By promoting a more relaxed mindset, expectant mothers can approach childbirth with less apprehension, which can lead to a more positive birthing experience.

  • While hypnobirthing doesn't eliminate pain, it offers tools to manage it more effectively. Techniques such as deep relaxation and controlled breathing can help to lessen the perception of pain during labour.

  • Hypnobirthing empowers women by giving them tools and techniques to have a more active role in their birthing process. This can increase their confidence and sense of control during labour

  • The relaxed state encouraged by hypnobirthing can facilitate a calm environment for childbirth, which may positively affect the initial bonding experience between the mother and her newborn.

  • Hypnobirthing can contribute to a decreased need for medical interventions such as epidurals or cesareans, leading to a more natural birthing experience.

  • A calm birthing process can be beneficial for the baby, potentially resulting in less stress for the newborn and easier adaptation to the outside world.

  • Hypnobirthing classes often involve the birthing partner, providing them with a clear role and ways to support the mother during childbirth.

  • A less traumatic birthing experience can lead to a smoother postpartum recovery for the mother, both physically and emotionally.
